Code of Conduct-Whatsapp
The code of Conduct/Ethics/Etiquette for a fruitful Eumind What’app Group participation
Social media with special reference to What’app has emerged as an excellent tool for an active, interactive & instant communication. However, to appreciate and utilise these advantages to the fullest and in the best way possible, we ought to be mindful of some ethics which are necessary for virtual interactions. In a real public world, we have boundaries and limits to keep. In the virtual group, we should be even more mindful of the other members in the group and we should not assume that they will necessarily think the way we think, or can easily get our point the way we want
them to.
This medium of communication through the What’app group will facilitate connects between thegroups formed between different schools helping us to get engaged in conversations, allow easy
collaborations, organise communication workflow and instant support. It will prove very handy and allow us to keep everyone notified with announcements, project updates, project progress and tasks. All members of the group are expected to conduct themselves in a manner that contributes positively to an environment in which respect; diversity, civility and opportunity are valued to achieve enriched
learning and success for all.
Some essential pointers to be observed at all times as active members of the chat group:-

Some essential pointers to be observed at all times as active members of the chat group:-
- Group members seek advice, ideas and collaborate from time to time. When help is sought or a question is asked, any response should offer a solution or a clarification to the question at hand.
- Don’t Comment When You Have No Answer, Solution or Suggestion.
- Before you share anything in the group, evaluate it relevance to the group’s central purpose.
- Every member of this group comes with his/her own perception and school of thoughts, with due respect to all. Avoid any negative comment which may directly or indirectly hurt other group members.
- The group is created with the core objective that its members can communicate and collaborate instantly to get help the fastest way when the need arises.
- No one knows it all. No one has it all. Everyone has a thought process different from the other. Everyone knows something that many others might not know. Collectively as a group, you become complete, you remain dynamic.
- We have created this group only for project related discussions, activities and tasks. Please stick to the mission statement. Irrelevant content does not belong here.
- As you are chat, do keep in mind to keep your content clean, appropriate and more importantly spam-free.
- This group must be used for discussions, suggestions and conversations which have educational relevance, using appropriate language and avoiding offensive or inflammatory speech, no impersonation and being respectful.
- It’s highly advisable that we send one chunk of message rather than dividing them into a string of short words/phrases to help everyone read the message at one go and avoid crowding of information on the chat.
- Leaving a voice message in the group chat should be done judiciously. Be aware of time. We need to remember that we belong to different time zones and therefore should be patient enough to wait to get the reply from the other group members.
- Jamming up the gallery with similar photos is not advisable.
